Terry Wayne McMahan, 61, of Gadsden, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his mother's residence. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Survivors include one daughter, Christel McMahan Harrington and husband, Matthew Harrington, of Prosper, Texas; son, James Terry McMahan and wife, Amanda McMahan, of McKinney, Texas, his mother, Bobbie Bennett McMahan, of Heflin; one sister, Jamie McMahan Snyder, of Anniston; two brothers, Mark McMahan, of Lexington, Ohio, and Matthew McMahan, of Lilburn, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jackson, Grayson and Emerson Harrington and Riley and Blake McMahan; three nieces and three nephews. Mr. McMahan is preceded in death by his father, James Blake McMahan. Mr. McMahan was a native of Oxford and a resident of Gadsden. He was a self employed contractor and he was a certified horticulturist and arborist and a member of the American Builders Association. Mr. McMahan was a construction contractor for the Anniston Army Depot, Redstone Arsenal and NASA Space Center in Huntsville. Mr. McMahan was a member of First Baptist Church of Oxford.
