Funeral service for Thermon N. Waters, 89, will be 2 p.m. today, October 3, 2015, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Derek Staples and the Rev. Larry Gardener officiating. A private entombment will be held later at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at Gray Brown. Mr. Waters passed away Thursday at RMC. Survivors include his wife, Methyl Waters; sons, Michael Waters (Donna) and Michael Smith; daughter, Kathy Reathford (Shawn); grandchildren, Josh Turner, Brittnie Waters, Jessie Green (Sydney), Anna Borden (Jared) and Brock Reathford; great- grandchildren, Christian Turner, Allyson Spicer, Addisyn Spicer and Addyen Spicer. Mr. Waters is preceded in death by his 14 brothers and sisters, and his first wife, Bettie Jo Waters. Pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Harim Lodge #42 of Jacksonville. Mr. Waters served in the Army during the Korean War, he retired from Anniston Army Depot, and was a member of the Masonic Harim Lodge #42 of Jacksonville for 53 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, a huge Alabama football fan, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Online condolences made at www.graybrownservice.com
