Funeral service for Thomas Chilton, 74, will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Saks Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. The family will receive friends at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Monday night from 6-8. Mr. Chilton passed away Thursday, November 18, 2016. Mr. Chilton is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Montez Chilton; daughter, Teresa Key (Richard Bowling); son, Wayne Chilton; sisters, Rosemary Abbott and Ann Horn; grandchildren, Brittany Sims (Josh), Dakota Chilton and Blake Key (Erin); great-grandchild, Oakley Key, and several nieces and nephews. His Sunday school class members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Key and Josh Sims. Mr. Chilton was a native of Calhoun County and was a retired paint contractor.
