Funeral service for Thomas Lee "Nanny" Salter, 66, will be on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Charles Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville City Cemetery. Mr. Salter remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. Mr. Salter passed away on March 29, 2014 at Riverview RMC-Gadsden. Mr Salter was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church. Survivors include his wife, Eula Salter, of Jacksonville; sons, Vincent (Marsha) Salter, of Fairburn, Ga., Marcus (Denise) Salter, William Salter, all of Jacksonville; daughters, Monica (Kevon) Yearwood, of Enterprise, Tracy Salter and Erica Salter, of Jacksonville; brothers, Michael Salter, of Jacksonville, Sander Salter, of Cedartown, Ga.; half-sister, Charlene Elston, of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Natasha, Jeremy, Jennifer, Christopher, Whitney, Todd, Montez, Jarae, Rayshawn, Jasmine, Marcus, RT and JaTerria; great-grandchildren, Kearia, Shania, Arehana, Rihanna, JaCamion, Ty and Releigh; mother in-law, Martha Veasley; uncle, Rufus Carr, of Jacksonville; special niece, Christy (Quen and Tavarea); other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike, Sr. and Janie Salter; siblings, Robert (Pero) Salter, James (BigDog) Salter and Dorothy Burton.
