Jacksonville - A memorial service for Thomas Leslie Camp, 73, will be Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father James Macey officiating. Mr. Camp died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Gadsden RMC after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Camp; his adored twin daughters, Lisa Camp Patton and her husband, Brian and Charissa Camp Flagg and her husband, Jamison; the last sparkles of our eyes, his granddaughters, Samantha (17) and Addison (15 months), all from Jacksonville; other extended family, Camp, Whitley, Green and Johnson from Alabama and Georgia; personal friends and thousands of students; his St. Charles Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus family; "The Marching Southerners" from 1958 to present; and all the people, he has gone on to join, as well as the ones he's waiting to greet; "All have a place in his heart." As a charter drummer of the Southerners, "His one glad morning came, he flew away to Glory."
