Jacksonville - Funeral services for Thomas "Milton" Levi Browning, 69, will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Dr. Scott Whetstone and the Rev. Ron Sweat officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 tonight. Mr. Browning died Sunday at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Lynn D. Browning, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Tracy Champion and her husband, Robi, and Tammy Johnson and her husband, Dennis, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Willie Nell Roach, of Sylacauga and Shirley Stanley, of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Gene Browning and his wife, Merrill, and Troy Browning and his wife, Helen, all of Sylacauga; five grandchildren, Seth Champion, Colton Clough, Madi Champion, Alexis Johnson and Nicholas Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Robertson, Hurcel Moore, Ray Morrison, Leon Bradley, Greg Lyles, Donnie Echols, Ken Nichols and Jim Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be The Auditorium Sunday School Class of Gladeview Baptist Church. Mr. Browning was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member and deacon of Gladeview Baptist Church and he loved to serve God. Mr. Browning was kind and gracious and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He retired as a branch chief at Anniston Army Depot and following his retirement, he worked for eight years at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Mr. Browning loved life and he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, working in his yard and visiting Disney World. This world has lost one of its best men, but heaven has gained a true angel.
