Funeral service for Mr. Timothy Knightly Sr., Ret. CPO, 59, will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Knightly passed away Thursday morning at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lori Knightly; daughters, Carol Knightly, Amanda Green (James), Rebecca Gray (Eric); son, Timothy J. Knightly Jr. (Jennifer); sisters, Karen Bates (Jimmy), Mary Knightly; brother, Daniel Knightly; grandchildren, Keegan Knightly, Xander Knightly, Timothy Ian Knightly, Ethan Gray, Aiden Green, Neal Knightly, Mason Green, Clayton Green, Logan Green, and 11 nieces and nephews. Mr. Knightly is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and George Knightly. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Knightly Jr., Keegan S. Knightly, Adam Knightly, Billy Knightly, Steven Isbell, Christopher Isbell, Landon Shoemaker, Josh Shoemaker and Spencer Shoemaker. Mr. Knightly retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid Harley Davidson fan and loved riding his motorcycle.
