Funeral service for Tina Epps, 58, will be Friday, June 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. David Screws officiating. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Epps died Tuesday at her home. Survivors include her daughter, Samantha (Colby) Stephens; son, Cody (Kayla) Epps; five grandchildren, Lanee Stephens, Daniel Stephens, Emma Stephens, Gunner Epps and Caiden Stephens; brothers, Ronald (Eva) Champion and Sandy Champion, and numerous nieces and nephews from both the Champion and Epps families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Howard Epps; her father, Carl Champion; her mother, Vivian Champion; father-in-law, Jimmy Dewey Epps, and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Epps. Her son, Cody, says "Momma was a 'mother' to all; she loved everyone, and had the biggest heart". She always "told you like it was", and would set you straight in a minute like only a mother could. Love for the outdoors was in her nature and she loved to share and listen to stories about hunting trips and experiences. There is so much to be said about this great woman and the love she gave. One thing she loved and took pride in the most was that when you came to her house, you came to "Big Mama Epps' House"!! Her daughter, Samantha, says "Home was always where my momma was, no matter how old I was and no matter the circumstances. Momma made sure I knew I always had a place to call home. Momma has always been there for me and my family, accepting and loving Colby, never turning her back, always putting herself last, thinking of everyone else and I am grateful for that. She loved Cody and me so much, but there is no doubt that she loved our babies even more! She was an amazing Nana and her grandbabies were her pride and joy. My greatest hope is to be just like my momma." Tina will forever be remembered as a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt, friend and of course "Mama Epps". Pallbearers will be Colby Stephens, Scottie Hayes, Walker Hayes, Andrew Grammer, Danny Mason, Erik Crosby and Chris Crossley.
