Tommie Evelyn Third, 95, gained her heavenly treasures as she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 8, 2017. Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2017, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, at 1 p.m. Her family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The Rev. Buddy Nelson and the Rev. Donnie Sills will be officiating. Tommie was born on August 23, 1922 to Thomas Larkin and Lockie Penola Price. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Castle Third Jr.; son, Ronnie Thomas Third; brother, Billy Price; grandson, Andrew John Rawlings; brother-in-law, Charles Allen Ridgeway and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Rawlings (Wayne), Jan McCormick (Brian); son, Alan Third (Natasha); grandchildren, Amy Larkin Rawlings, Kathleen Rogers, Abigail Rogers, Brittney McCormick, Allie Third Coppock (Rob), Zachery Castle Third (Cayla); great-grandsons, Raylan Castle Coppock, Connor Liam Aiello; sister, Wilma Ridgeway. Tommie was a member of Anniston First Baptist Church at McClellan where she was a member of the church choir, WMU and served as a member of the Hostess Committee. She also went on mission trips to help churches in different areas of the United States. She loved Jesus and serving the Lord. She loved her family and her church. Special thanks to Friends and Family Adult Daycare of Oxford and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
