Funeral service for Tommy Lee Jones "Sam" 74, will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1pm at the Murray Temple CME Church where Rev. Micheal Hill, pastor and Rev. Teresa E. Snorton, eulogist. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Rev. Jones passed away on November 13, 2017. Rev. Jones's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. He graduated from Calhoun County Training School, The Life Long Learning Center, and Miles College. He retired from his pastorial assignment at New Hope CME Church. Survivors include his wife: Gertrude Jones; children: Beverly (Ben) McKinney, Cheryl (Woodrow) English, Miranda Jones, Cheryl Murphy, Deidra Cachat; 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Gloria (Willie) Moore, Ray (Serena) Jones, in-laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie,Sr. and Alice R. Jones, daughter, Allyson Melica Young, siblings, J.M., Willie Edward, George Grady, Archie, Jr., Bertha Jones and Effie Martin.
