A celebration of life for Mr. Tommy Matthews, 64, will be held on Sunday, 22, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Stockdale Baptist Church with the Rev. David Poore officiating. Mr. Matthews went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on March 19, 2015 at RMC. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret Matthews; daughter, Andra Barnhill and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Stella Barnhill and Terra Barnhill; sister, Sylvia Floyd, of Cullman and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Luna Matthews; brothers, Lamar Matthews and John Matthews; sisters, Betty Harwell and Annie Louis Matthews and granddaughter, Luna Barnhill. Mr. Matthews was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He was a huge Braves fan and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. Mr. Matthews was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
