A Memorial Service for Mr. Travis Wayne Lambert, 76, of Alexandria, will be at 2 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Ohatchee Church of Christ with Wayne Dunaway and Reverend Andy Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Lambert passed away on October 24, 2017 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lambert was a native of Georgia but had been a resident of Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Lambert was a longtime member and an Elder for 35 years at the Ohatchee Church of Christ. He was an electrician by trade and was retired from Solutia. Mr. Lambert was loved by everyone who knew him. Mr. Lambert is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Essie Shumate Lambert; a son, Rodney Lambert, a daughter, Beth Lambert; five brothers, C.A, Otis, Roy, Howard, and Wendell Lambert; and a sister, Shirley Graham. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Zilpha Junior Lambert; a daughter, Susan Crossley (Keith); grandchildren, Jeff Crossley (Erin), Justin Crossley (Devon), and Josh Truitt (Nichole); great grandchildren, Alexis Crossley, Aleya Crossley, and JJ Truitt; a brother, Bobby Lambert; two sisters, Mary Ann Brown and Elaine Estes (Gerald); two sisters-in-law, Helen Lambert and Gail Lambert; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ohatchee Church of Christ, 3227 AL Highway 144, Ohatchee, AL 36271. Online condolences may be made to the family at K.L.
