Funeral service for Mrs. Trina Whisenant Thomas, 55, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Pastor Titus R. Roberson, officiating with the Rev. Carlton L. Phillips, eulogist. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Public viewing will be held today from 1 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She leaves to cherish memories, two children, LaKyta (Jacques) Prater, of Anniston and Anthony (Tiana) Thomas, of Gwinnett County, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jacques Prater II, Ahmaia Gabrielle Thomas, and Ahmari Giana Thomas; six siblings, Gary (Anita) Whisenant and Stanley (Annette) Whisenant, both of Orlanda, Fla., Douglas (Demetry) Whisenant, of Las Vegas, Nev., Minnie Woods, Glenda Whisenant and Sharon Whisenant, all of Anniston; one uncle, Ernest Whisenant, of Birmingham, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Early & Emmie Marie Whisenant; sister, Janice Whisenant; brothers, Larry Whisenant and Samuel Frank Whisenant, and grandmother, Paulene Brewster.
