A graveside service with full military honors for TSGT Sidney James Argo, USAF Retired, 85, will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Rick Blythe officiating. The family will receive friends at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. TSGT Argo died on Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Jean Argo, of Jacksonville; three daughters, Wanda Lee Cody and her husband, Steve of Wellington, Shelba Lynn Argo, of Jacksonville and Pamela Jean Vile and her husband, John, of Summerfield, Fla.; five grandchildren, John Vile Jr., Jeff Cash, Sidney Cash, James Turner and Jason Argo (Amanda); nine great-grandchildren; numerous great- great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Cash, Alex Wilkerson, Wyatt Cash, James Turner, Jalon Turner and Jason Argo. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Abraham, Steve Cody and John Vile. TSGT Argo was a native of Calhoun County and served his country for 20 years in the U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force. He was retired from AOD and was a member of the Piedmont Seventh Day Adventist Church. TSGT Argo was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mattie Thelma Argo and a sister, Betty Jean Argo.
