Funeral service for Ms. Venice Waugh, 9, will be Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Sills and the Rev. J. Mark Leroux officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service. Ms. Waugh went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Zandra Sills and husband, Donald; son, William Gerald Waugh and wife, Shelia; brothers, JC Johnson and Douglas Johnson; sisters, JoAnne Taylor, Francis Price and Marie Murphy; grandchildren, Donald Lee Sills, Jerry Sills, Jennifer Waugh Wenerio and Chris Waugh; great-grandchildren, Alex Sills, Jack Sills, Emily Sills, Janie Sills, Kaitlyn Wenerio and Paige Wenerio. Ms. Waugh is preceded in death by her loving husband, William A. Waugh; parents, Jessie Cleveland and Mary Taylor Johnson; sister, Irene Buchanan and brothers, Buford Johnson and Jim Johnson. Pallbearers will be Douglas Johnson, Dugan Taylor, Willie Price, JC Johnson, Alex Sills, Jack Sills and Jerry Sills with Franklin Murphy and members of the HOPE Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Oxford serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Ms. Waugh spent most of her working life in business with her husband. They were founders of Pasquales Pizza in Anniston, which also was the first pizza restaurant in Calhoun County. She was a charter member at Woodland Park Baptist Church and was also an active member of First Baptist Church in Oxford until she had to retire. She was also a member of the HOPE Class. Ms. Waugh was a very loving mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
