Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia C. Lindley, 88, of Oxford will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev's Kenneth Hutto and Glen Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Lindley will lie in state one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Lindley died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Regional Medical Center. She is survived by two daughters, Faye Wallace, of Oxford, Dinah Sexton and her husband, Ricky, of Piedmont; son, Jackson Lindley and his wife, Carol, of Oxford; grandchildren, Dana Edwards (Trae), of Montgomery, Shane Wallace (Autumn), Tina Hazle (Larry), all of Oxford, Lance Self (Lauren), of Birmingham, Justis Self, of Jacksonville, Kendall Brem Emanuel, of Oxford; great-grandchildren, Casey Lindley (Stephanie), of Munford, Barrett Solomon, of Montgomery, Colby Craighead, of Oxford, Lindley Edwards and Trace Edwards, of Montgomery, Hilton Emanuel, of Oxford; and by her great-great-grandchild, Krymson Lindley, of Munford. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and she retired from Magic Chef. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lindley; son, Gerald Lindley; brothers, Vernon Robertson, A.B. Robertson and Ernest Robertson; sister Gladys Lloyd and son-in-law, Gerald Wallace.
