Funeral service for Mrs. Vivian Gatlin Prickett, 93, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Union United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Skaggs officiating. Burial to follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Prickett died at Gadsden Regional Medical Center Sunday, June 18, 2017. Mrs. Prickett is survived by one daughter, Brenda Prickett Rhodes (Deral), of Wellington; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Williamson, of Jacksonville; one sister, Mrs. June Killingsworth- Lifsey, of Zebulon, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 75 years, Edd S. Prickett Jr.; a beloved son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Joyce Prickett; her parents; one brother and three sisters, Lee Fortner, Florine Vincent and Joyce Fowler. Pall Bearers will be Butch Haver, Johnny Bryant, Glenn Pruitt, Buck Fowler, Keith Bryant, Richard Prickett, Terry Killingsworth and Bobby Noah. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel Prickett, Joe Prickett, Chris Williamson and David Bryant. Vivian was a member of Union United Methodist Church since 1947. She served as secretary for 26 years and as Teacher of the Ladies Group for many years. She retired from the Post Office at Wellington where she served as Postmaster for 20 years. She and her husband, Edd were Charter Members of the Cheaha Chapter of the Ex-POW'S. Special thanks to Mrs. Picketts caregivers, Anna Poole and Dayna Kent. Condolences may be left at
