A memorial service for Walter Barron "Barry" Freeman, age 66 of Anniston will be on January 12, 2019 at 1pm in the Choir Room of Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Buford Gaines officiating. There will be a time of fellowship from noon until service time in the Choir Room. Mr. Freeman died at his home on Saturday, January 5, 2019. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Andy) Cebrian, Gabrielle (Josh) Jones, Reagan Guinn; son, Phillip Lipham; brothers, Gabriel Freeman, Jimmy (Charlotte) Freeman; by his sister, Karen "Ginger" Freeman, and by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr Freeman was a graduate of Anniston High School and had worked at Lea & Mikes Grocery and for Royal Cup Coffee. He was a member of Abel Baptist Church. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Scott Freeman and Katherine Sprayberry Freeman, by his sister, Sherry Kathleen Freeman, a brother, Jerry Donald Freeman, and by his nephew, Gary Donald Freeman. Barry was a very smart and business minded person. He enjoyed the simple things in life, his family, his friends, and Alabama football "Roll Tide". He will be sorely missed by many. 2nd Corinthians 5:8: "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
