Funeral service for Walter Elston, Sr. 87, will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Murray Temple CME Church with Rev. Billy G. Springer, officiating. Interment with military honors at Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Elston passed away on September 1, 2017 Mr. Elston's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. Mr. Elston served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife: Joyce Ingram; children: Gerald Phillips, Benard Elston, Jackquelyn Smith, Walter Elston,Jr., Samantha Elston, Patrick (Toni) Elston; Godsons: Calvin and Edward E. Ingram; siblings: Mary F. William, Daris (David) Boyd, Clarance (Lora Ann) Elston, 11 grands, 7 great grands, other relatives and friends.
