Funeral service for Walter R. Siskey, 76, were Thursday, August 21, 2014, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Bishop Leroy Austin officiating and Pastor Rodney Cox officiating at the graveside. Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery. Mr. Siskey passed away on Monday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Martha Siskey; daughters, Sherry (Tommy) Angles , Rebecca (Billy) Atwood; sons, Tim (Deborah) Mahan, Mark Siskey, David Siskey; sister, Phyllis (David) Dillman; brothers, Patrick (Shirley) Siskey, Jerry Siskey; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Derek Mahan, Rick Turner, Matt Jones, Dustin Siskey, Corey Siskey and Josh Dobbins. Honorary Pallbearers were Ronald "Tuby" Lloyd and Jeff Dobbins. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed dearly by family and friends. He was a life long resident of Anniston. Mr. Siskey was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Hazel Siskeyp; brother, Charlie Siskey; sons, Rickey Mahan, Walter Jr (Chuck) Siskey and a grandson, Steven Kusick.
