Memorial service for Wanda Smith-Williams, 56, will be on January 31, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Hopeful Baptist Church. The Rev. Curtis Collette will be officiating. Mrs. Williams passed away on Thursday at her residence. Survivors include her husband, Mark Williams; son, Jeremy Buchanan (Stephanie); son, Kevin Penland (Daisy); son, Michael "Florida"; grandchildren, Andrew Buchanan, McKinlee Buchanan and Gunner Penland; father-in-law, Wayne Williams; siblings, James Boyd (Debra), Jessie Boyd (Teresa), Thomas Boyd (Christal), Darlene Ray (Shawn), Meredith Rhinehart , Karen Evans (Roy); special brother, Johnny Frank; special sister, Dorothy "Peachy" Dover; nieces and nephews, Patricia Boyd, April Boyd, Nathan Boyd, Tessa Boyd, Grant Boyd, Adam Boyd, Mirandah Boyd, Blakely Walker (Stephen), Dylan Roszell, Logan Storey, Alax Beck, Amy Moore, Tommy Bryant, Regan Bryant, Morgan Moore, Tyler Moore, Joshua Haynes and a host of great-nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Munford High School Class of 1977. She served two years in the US Army. Wanda was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church. Wanda was an automobile sales person. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. She loved her mountain "Cheaha". Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her mother, Joy Boyd Thompson; grandparents, Grant and Mildred Smith; a brother, Edward Boyd; mother-in-law, Betty Williams and a sister, Lynn Haynes.
