Funeral service for Mr. Wayron Foster, 97, will be held at the Clay County Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Clay County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren Kevin Foster, Mark Foster, Michael Horsfield, Dr. Patrick Lett, Jennifer McPeters and Emily White. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff at Lineville Health and Rehab. Mr. Foster is survived by his daughters, Mary Nell Lett (Wayne) and Dorothy Horsfield (Chris); one brother, Freeman Foster; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell; his son, Charles; his parents, Lucius and Annie Foster; two brothers and two sisters. Born August 1, 1918, in Marion County, Georgia, Wayron served as a cook for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He retired after a twenty-five year career with the US Forest Service as a supervisor and technician. He was a member of Mineral Springs Methodist Church for over 70 years. Clay County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
