Service for Welton Boyd Nabors, 74, will be today January 26, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Moore and Pastor Rodney Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Nabors passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Jacksonvillle. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Linda Austin Nabors, of Piedmont; two daughters, Janna Nabors Ingram (Kenny), of Spring Garden and Rita Nabors Doeg, of Lindale, Ga.; one son, Welton Labron Nabors (Jessica), of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mucia Parrish (John), of Wellington and Diana Butler (Thomas), of Ohatchee; one brother-in-law, Keith Austin (Kathy), of Piedmont, one sister-in-law, Sue Austin, of Spring Garden; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Labron Nabors, Earl Bedwell, Sam Morgan, John Crowley, Stan Noah and Rusty Kerns. Mr. Nabors was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, attended Alexandria High School and was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Piedmont.
