Celebration of Life Service for William Arthur Matthews, will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 12 p.m. at Shaw Temple AME Zion Church, 775 Hurt Rd. Smyrna, Ga. 30082. The Rev. Dr. George D. Crenshaw Sr., Pastor. Instate 11 a.m family and friends are asked to assembly at the church at 11:30 a.m. on the day of services. Internment will follow at 3 p.m. Central Standard Time at Jacksonville City Cemetery in Jacksonville. He is survived his daughter, Kierra Matthews, of Atlanta; son, Travis Fields, of Dallas, Texas; twin granddaughters, Genesis and Mariah; loving sisters, Brenda (Anthony) Windham, of Douglasville, Ga., Deborah Green of Covington, Ga., Dr. Clara (Henry) Taylor, of Douglasville, Ga. and Esther (Nathaniel Brown) Green, of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Henry Matthews of Fla.; his loving fiancee, Paulette Laster, of Atlanta, Ga.; special mother-in-laws, Mrs. Mildred Morgan, of Atlanta, Mrs. Maudry Fields, of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
