Graveside service for Mr. William Ballard, 86, will be Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ballard's nephew, Pastor Chuck Locke, will officiate the service. Mr. Ballard died at Robert L. Howard Veteran's Facility on November 5, 2014. He is survived by three children, Deborah B. Noll, William E. Ballard (Alma) and Cathy B. Messer (David); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Worrell Ballard; father, Fred C. Ballard; mother, Laura Mae Abernathy Ballard; brothers, E.T. Ballard and Leonard Ballard and sister, Jeannie Ballard. Mr. Ballard was born in Lincolnton, N.C. and always thought it was God's country. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from the military with over 20 years of service. Mr. Ballard loved his family and his country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the , or to the Robert L.
