Mr. William "Bill" Garnett Norton Jr., 69, passed away December 25, 2014 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1945 in Oxford to Mr. Garnett and Arvie McInvale Norton . Mr. Norton is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Norton; children, Shelly Norton, Scott (Kim) Norton, Sherri (Derrick) Vainio, Terri (Scott) McMyler, Larry (Vicky) Nichols, David Nichols; grandchildren, Brandt Nichols, Matthew (Natalie) McMyler, Tyler Story, Joshua Smith, Trenton McMyler, Kyle Nichols, Kalyn Story, Austin Norton, Abby Bjornson, Laura Ann Smith, Ashton Norton; great grandchildren, Finley and Kohen; sister, Sylvia (Huey) Holland and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandt Nichols, Matthew McMyler, Joshua Smith, Trenton McMyler, Kyle Nichols and Austin Norton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. William Garnett Norton Sr. and Mrs. Arvie McInvale Norton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 12 p.m - 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Stan Albright officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Norton was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1963. He was a fun loving individual who loved his family, community and football. His children remember him as a supportive, kindhearted and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
