William "Bill" C. Derryberry "Diddle Dew", 98, passed away June 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Memphis, Tenn. and came here 65 years ago from Hernando, Mississippi. Bill is predeceased by his wife, Virginia and great-grandson, Alex. He retired from Wheeling Steel after 23 years and Giffen Roofing Industries after 30 years. He was also a farmer of cotton, corn and soybeans for 10 years and a bee keeper for 10 years. Bill is survived by his sons, Tom (Mary Ellen), of Brooksville, Fla. and Bill (Ola), of Piedmont; grandsons, Shane (Lisa), Ryan (Kelli); granddaughters, Lisa (Avery) Macy, Holly (Baron) Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Savanna Hicks, Skylar, Bryson, Zayne, Joseph, Katelin and Bre-Ann Derryberry, Hannah and Seth Macy, Ronnie "Red" and Austin Key, Baron Jr., Don, Tammy and Elizabeth Jenkins, Justin Frye, Jason, Sebastian, Victoria, Carry Ann and Clifford Christopher, Robert and Shawn Thompson and loving family. Visitation will be held today, June 24, 2016, from 4 until 8 at 1190 S. Broad Street, Brewer & Sons. Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Fla. with Pastor John Dent officiating.
