Funeral service for William Earl Scott, 63, (formerly of Gadsden) will be on Friday, February 26, 2016, at noon at the Anniston Funeral Service Outreach Ministry in the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with Minister James Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Scott passed away on February 21, 2016. A wake will be this evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the St. John CME Church, Gadsden. Mr. Scott was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Weaver and also served as a International Missionary, with several visits to Tanzania, Africa. He graduated for Carver High School in 1971, received his B.S. Degree from Alabama State University and Master's Degree at Jacksonville State University and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was employed for 26 years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Gadsden. Survivors include his wife, Marche' Talmadge Scott; daughters, Alicia Jones and Keara Scott; son, Keland Lawrence and Kalem (Kalandra) Lawrence; granddaughter, Amaya Santiago; siblings, James (Shirley) Scott, Lois Scott and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Scott and Bessie Scott; siblings, Betty Scott, Elizabeth Henderson and Stephen Scott; nephew, Eric Scott and niece, Patricia Robinson.
