William "Billy" Guy Snider, 71, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Copeland and the Rev. Eric Snider officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Snider; daughter, Annie Laura Fike; sons, Scott Snider and Robert (Sherry) Snider; grandchildren, Brianna Fike, Sheena (Justin) McAnear, Megan Snider and Amber Snider; great-grandchildren, Gage and Adalyn McAnear; brother, Vernon (Ruthie) Snider; sisters, Sarah (Grady) Rhodes, Faye (Bob) Oswalt and Jean Bolling Dear; friends, Jimmy and Vera Barber; his second family, AAD Workers and the National Guard. Pallbearers will be Stanley Cobb, Elbert Cobb, Grady Rhodes, Eric Williams, Eddie Rhodes and Kevin Oswalt. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult Sunday School Class at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Snider retired from Anniston Army Depot after 41 years and National Guard after 42 years. Billy was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and graduate of the Class of 1964 from White Plains High School. Special thanks to Dr. Spremulli and staff, Dr. Patel and staff, Dr. Jacob and staff, and RMC 4th floor and ICU. Billy was a great husband, Dad, Papa, and Great Grandpa. He had always helped his neighbors and family. He loved camping, fishing, and woodwork. Billy will be greatly missed. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Annie Laura Snider; grandson, Wesley Scott Snider; brothers, Herbert and Gary Snider; sisters, Hilda Grayson, Martha Jane Cobb and Beverly Williams, and good friend, Leo Pineapple McDonald.
