William Haliburton "Burt" Fargason passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013. The son of Hal and Mildred Fargason was born on June 13, 1932. Following graduation from North Georgia College, he served in the Army in Korea and then began his career as an educator at Woodward Academy. Burt's career led him to Anniston Academy (Donoho School). He retired from education, and became the financial consultant for Communication Associates. Burt is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shelby Fargason; his devoted children, Bill (Laurie), John (Lynn), and Bob (Gigi); grandchildren, Justin, Will, Luke (Alison), Rebekah, and Kristen; sisters, Betty Blasingame and Jean Paulk. The family respectfully declines the gift of flowers and requests that memorial donations be directed to the Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home, 7054 Veterans Parkway, Pell City, AL 35125 or a . There will be a service for the family to celebrate his life.
