William Howard Borders, 74, died Saturday, January 05, 2013 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, January 8, 2013, at Iron City Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Fisher officiating. Visitation will be today, January 8, 2013, from 1 p.m until 2 p.m at Iron City Baptist Church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr Borders is survived by a loving wife of 54 years, Mary Helen Borders; 2 sons, Andy (Gina) Borders, of Jacksonville and Greg Borders, of Iron City; 3 grandchildren, Holley(Chuck) Greenwalt, Zackkary(Amber) Borders and Lindsey Borders; great-grandchildren, Karlie Hurst, Camden Hurst, Aubrey-Anna Adcock, Gabe Borders; two sisters, Charolette Baxley and Jo (Billy) Robertson; three brothers, Freddy (Sandy) Borders, Randy (LaDayne) Borders, Kenneth (Melissa) Borders and a dear pet, Lexie. He was a member of Iron City Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Tool. Howard was a loving husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed.
