A graveside service for Mr. William I. Hudson, 86, will be Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Jacksonville City Cemetery. Mr. Hudson went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, January 17, 2016. He is survived by three sons, Dave (Debbie) Hudson, Dan (Rose) Hudson and Doug (Brenda) Hudson; three daughters, Becky (Randy) Young, Bev (John) Williams and Betty Jo Hudson; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Shirley Hudson; and two nephews, Mark (Katherine) Hudson and Tom Hudson. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Hudson graduated from Burnham High School in Sylvania, Ohio in 1947. After graduating, he attended the University of Toledo and then entered the US Marine Corps Reserves where he earned the rank of SGT while serving his country during the Korean War Era. Mr. Hudson was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his family was very important to him. He was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God in Toledo, Ohio where he held many leadership positions. While in Toledo, he also served as a Board Member for the Toledo Christian School. After retiring, Mr. Hudson lived in Camden, MI and then moved to Jacksonville in 2007 where he spent the remainder of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his parents, Richard E. and Ruth M. Busse Hudson; his wife, Phyllis J. Smith Hudson; his brother, Robert Hudson.
