Mr. William Lloyd "Cotton" Brown, 78, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. He was born September 3, 1938 in Muscadine to the late Silas Phillip and Bernice Lillie Whitt Brown Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Silas Brown Jr. Mr. Brown was a Christian having attended his whole life at Beulah Baptist Church. He was a sprinkler fitter by trade, a member of the UA Local Union 669. He served his country in the U.S. Army, loved being on his farm, and enjoyed being surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Brown, of Muscadine; sons and daughters-in- law, Ryan and Emily Brown, of Heflin, and Kyle and Teri Brown, of Muscadine; grandchildren, Emmaline Ruth, William Elijah, Erin Lillie, Hannah Abigail, Clinton Jonah, James Ezekiel, Oliver Rhys, Liesl Adelle and Edyth Grace; sister-in-law, Ethel Brown; siblings, Winford and Myrtice Brown, of Muscadine, Ralph and Eunice Brown, of Tallapoosa, Ga., Gene Autry and Martha Brown, both of Muscadine, Patricia and Richard Smith, of Fruithurst and Billy and Carol Brown, of Buchanan. Funeral service will be held today, September 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. EST from Beulah Baptist Church, 1616 County Road 57 Muscadine, AL 36269, with the Rev. Bill Brown, Dr. Roland Brown and the Rev. Donald Leggett officiating. Music will be provided by the Brown family singers. Interment will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Leggett officiating. Pallbearers serving will be Michael Brown, Sy Brown, Whitt Brown, Tom Brown, Tim Brown, Eli Brown, John Edwards and Jonathan Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Winford Brown, Ralph Brown, Gene Autry Brown, Richard Smith, Billy Brown, John C. Edwards Jr. and Tommy Edwards. If you would like to give a donation in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
