William Ned Landers, 75, born May 31, 1940, went to be with his Heavenly Father after battling cancer on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. He was a resident of Foley and a long time native of the Anniston/Oxford area. He graduated from Oxford High School and attended Jacksonville State University. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Landers; mother, Effie Fay Landers and by his brother, Donald Jesse Landers. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gale Estes Landers; loving daughters, Heather Landers (Joey Kilpatrick), April Landers Burleson (Keith); his son, William Ned Landers Jr.; grandchildren, Ashton and Brooks Burleson, Will Landers and Brandi Landers; his brother, Ed Landers and by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Landers' biggest loves were his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren in Orange Beach and of course, Auburn Tiger Football. War Eagle Ned! A visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Oxford, Friday, January 22, 2016, at 5 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 6 pm.
