Anniston - Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Bettie Love Cobb, 86, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Dr. Roland P. Brown and the Reverend Stanley Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cobb passed away on September 23, 2013. Mrs. Cobb was a native of Calhoun County and graduated from White Plains High School. She then attended and graduated from Jacksonville State University and Auburn University. She taught school in the Tallapoosa (GA) City School System for 8 years then returned to Alabama to teach for the remaining 33 years of her career at Oxford Middle School. She was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church. She spent many hours reading, crocheting, and quilting. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Raymond Cobb; her parents, William Pink Love and Lonnie Pearl Harris Love, and a brother, William Sep Love. Mrs. Cobb is survived by her daughter, Peggy Cobb Murray and her husband, Gary, of Anniston; two sons, Gary Eston Cobb and his wife, Sharon, of Union Grove, and Harmon Earl Cobb and his wife, Phyllis, of Anniston; a sister, Josie Pearl Schiebler-Trotter, of Atlantic Beach, Fla; five grandchildren, Suzanne Murray, Dr. Mark Murray and his wife, Tory, Gretchen Weathington and her husband, Michael, Harmon Cobb, II, and his wife, Brittany, and Dr. Eston Cobb; five great-grandchildren, Madeline Weathington, Harmon Cobb III, Charley Cobb, Campbell Murray, Lily Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Golden Springs Baptist Church, 3 Robertson Road, Anniston, AL 36207 or to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 8794 Choccolocco Road, Anniston, AL 36207.
