Oxford - Funeral services for Willie Eulene Maddox, 82, of Oxford, will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronald Adams will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Maddox passed away on Sunday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Fred Alfred Maddox; daughters, Angela Lindsey (James), Cathy Self (Tom), son, Danny Taylor (Sherrill); stepson, Fred Allen Maddox (Jennifer); grandchildren, Terri Simmons (Gary), Ryan Lindsey (Jennifer), Matthew Self (Christy), Landon Self, Lucas Taylor, Andrew Maddox, Lora Anderson (Shawn), Lacey Berry; great-grandchildren, Payton, Ryleigh, and Reid Lindsey, Gavin Self, Tyler Watts and Cody Anderson. Pallbearers will be Tom Self, James Lindsey, Ryan Lindsey, Matthew Self, Landon Self and Mike Hurst. Honorary pallbearer will be Lucas Taylor. Some of her highlights of her life were enjoying the views from Cheaha Mountain, attending the Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, touring Germany, and Alaska. She had many hobbies that she dearly loved as collecting day lilies, crocheting, decorating cakes, making many beautiful pieces of ceramics. She retired from Hager Hinge. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Taylor; her parents, Brittain Edward Turner and Velma Turner; brothers, Brittain S. "Pee Wee" Turner, and Aaron Turner. The family will like to say a very special thank you to RMC 3rd and 1st shift ER personnel, 1st shift 9th floor nurses (Chris), Dr. Howard McVeigh, Dr. Ken Pilgreen, Dr. Vance Moore and Oxford EMS. She left her footprints on our heart and her handprint's everywhere. She will be dearly missed. Miller Funeral Home
