Willie Henrietta "Tee" Harris Day, 98, a 20-year resident of Huntsville, passed away on April 3, 2015. Born March 14, 1917 in Bentonia, Mississippi. Mrs. Day was a long-time resident of Anniston. She was a long-standing member of the First United Methodist Church of Anniston, where she was a charter member of Neysa Coker Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Martin Day Sr; her son, William Carl Day Sr; her son-in-law, Richard N. Jeffers and three great-grandchildren, as well as her parents Anna Rebecca Simrall Harris and Charles Foster Harris Sr; her brother Charles Foster Harris Jr and her sister, Rebecca Harris Graham. Mrs. Day is survived by her children, Marvin (Louise) Day Jr, Foster Harris (Linda) Day, Henrietta Day (Willie) Wooten, Lillian Day Jeffers and Susan (Loran) Day Humphreys; her daughter-in-law, Jan Warren Day; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Graveside services to be held today, April 7, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City, Miss., conducted by her great nephew, James Rosa. Visitation to be held this morning at Stricklin-King Funeral Home. The family request memorials be made to The First United Methodist Church of Anniston, 1400 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
