Funeral service for Dr. Willie Jewel Jackson 92, will be on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11 am at the Seventeen Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kyser Whatley, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson passed away on September 30, 2017. Dr. Jackson's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Dr. Jackson graduated from Cobb Avenue High School, Dormis Kura College, Gadsden Trade School and Southern Beauty Congress. She was an entrepreneur, retired owner of J & W Wig World in Anniston, she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church served as Past President of the Missionary Society. Survivors include her daughter: Dr. Myrtice (Thomas) Collins; step son: Willie (Barbara) Andrews, grandson: Jamal (Tasha) Fields; great grandchildren: Jaylon and Kaleb; step grands, Thomas Safford, Cederick Collins, and Sidney; goddaughter: Teresa Thomas, other relatives and friends.
