Funeral service for Deacon Willie Louis Moon, 64, will be on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Paradise Mission Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Brain Thomas, pastor and the Rev. Thomas Bullock, officiating. Deacon Moon's remains will arrive at the church two hours prior to his service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Pleasant Home Church Cemetery in Goodwater. Mr. Moon passed away on September 6, 2016. Deacon Moon served in the U.S. Army for 27 years and retired in 2002. He was a Volunteer Fireman "TC12" with Russell Mill of Alexander City. He was employed at Anniston Army Depot. He was a faithful Deacon at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary F. Moon; his children, Willie (Samantha), Robert (Monica), Victoria, Kevin (Lawonna), Porsche (Chalyiss) Donnie and Donja; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Minnie Moon, Ora (John) Johnson, Mary, Martha, Beverly and Donnie (Tara) Moon; parents-in-law, Marner and CP Person; in-laws, other relatives and friends.
