Wilma Deane Johnson Albright, 87, passed away at home on July 1, 2015, after an extended illness. Service will be at K. L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs today, July 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church in Newell, Alabama. Mrs. Albright was a native of Woodland but had been a resident of Anniston since 1951. She is survived by her daughters, Janie (Larry) Albright Triplett Morrow, Ann Albright Hollingsworth and Laura (Bob) Albright Phillips, all of Anniston; granddaughters, Melissa Triplett Johnson, of Birmingham, Sarah Elizabeth Hollingsworth, of Anniston and Shelley Ann Phillips, of Anniston; grandson, Thomas Johnson of Birmingham; great-granddaughter, Laura Jane Johnson, of Birmingham; special caregiver, Tamika Hardy Felton, of Anniston and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-nine years, James Willard Albright; her parents, Thomas Shelley and Luna Helen Murphy Johnson; her sisters, Arlene Johnson Carpenter and Evelyn Johnson Williams and her son-in- law, Elbert Lamar Holli ngsworth. Mrs. Albright was a long- time volunteer for many organizations: Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, Anniston Meals on Wheels, Golden Springs Elementary School, The Donoho Lower School Library and Chaplain Services at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Firrst Christian Church of Anniston and was retired from Anniston Army Depot and Donoho Clay/ Blastcrete. Mrs. Albright was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and the Lord and she was known for her giving nature and selflessness. She was a renowned baker; her cakes were in great demand and enjoyed by all. Pallbearers will be Danny Albright, Bryan Carpenter, Morgan Carpenter, Randall Carpenter, Brian Harden, Thomas Johnson and Keith Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Albright's memory to Faith Christian School, 400 Ronnaki Rd., Anniston, AL 36207; or to First Christian Church, 1327 Leighton Avenue, Anniston, AL 36207.
