Anniston - Funeral service for Lurline Ralston Green Adams, 91, of Anniston, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church in Wedowee. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Adams died Tuesday morning at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. Survivors include daughter, Anita Green Stedham (Glenn); son, Daniel T. Green (Marion); niece and caregiver, Kay Cassell; grandchildren, Max, Rita, Brandon, Kelly, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Corbin and Jadan; sisters, Bernice Wright and Sue Kaylor; brother, Billy Ray Ralston; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husbands, Thermon Green and James W. Adams; daughter, Nancy Green Malcolm; parents, Harvey and Oma Ralston; and several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fidelis Sunday School class at Hill Crest Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was a native of Cleburne County and lived in Anniston most of her life. She was a member of Hill Crest Baptist and at the time of her death she was the longest serving member. Mrs. Adams was a seamstress by trade and had a great love for quilting. She was quilter for over 50 years and started the quilting Bee at Moore Ave. Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by her family and friends.
