Oxford - Myrtle Eris Whitley Lipham, 86, of Oxford, went to her with her Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J.Z. Lipham; her parents, and five siblings. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Buddy Screws; one granddaughter, Deedee Anne Stanfield; two great-grandsons, Nicholas Norton and Wesley Norton; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m.. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dale Hollingsworth and Jon Guthery for the many times they shared scripture, songs, and smiles with our loved one. Special thanks is due C.N.A. Thelma Woodard (of Golding Living Nursing Facility) and Countryside Hospice for the tender care they gave to our loved one. Also, special thanks is due for the lovely flowers rendered monthly through Lakeview Baptist Church's Flower Ministry. Dale and Jon, along with family members, will conduct the service.
