Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Sue Davis Baswell, 90, of Anniston, will be Monday, January 27, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Dr. Roland Brown and the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating with burial following at Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Baswell passed away January 25, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Baswell is survived by her daughter, Donnita (Gerald) Cobb; son, Kenneth (Cindi) Baswell; grandchildren, Dana Cobb (Roy) Bearden, Brian (Dawn) Baswell, Brandon Baswell; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Bearden, Cameron Bearden, Jeff Bearden, Kelci Baswell, Brook Baswell, Mason Baswell Emily Baswell; sisters, Faye Davis Fulford, of Clanton, Beulah Davis Bennett, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; sister-in-law, Ovell Davis Orders, of Blairsville, Ga.; many loving and beloved nieces and nephews; caregivers (our angels), Regina Parrish, Donna Curvin and Annie Miller. A host of friends-having lived and been an active part of four communities and churches: Alexandria Baptist in Alexandria, Oak Bowery Baptist in Ohatchee, First Baptist Saks in Anniston and Golden Springs Baptist in Anniston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, G.W. (Jack) Baswell; parents, Ernest and Nell Davis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia Haynie and Spud, Margaret Baswell and Hoyt; brothers, Darrell and Duward Davis. Pallbearers will be nephews. A very special "Thank you" to Dr. David Emerson and his staff and to all the wonderful folks at Gentiva Hospice.
