Funeral service for Mrs. Ethel Bridges Daugherty, 95, will be Friday, February 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Steve McGinnis and Elder J.D. Morris officiating with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Daugherty passed away February 11, 2014 at NHC in Anniston. Mrs. Daugherty is survived by her daughters, DeeAnn (Lucien) Berrey and Linda (Arnold) Honaker; sons, Milton (Barbara) Daugherty and Harlan (Joan) Daugherty; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Daugherty is preceded in death by her husband, Elder J.M. (Bud) Daugherty; granddaughter, Darline Daugherty; parents, Acker and Rilla Bridges; six sisters and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Burnie Berrey, Harlan Berrey, David Berrey, Clay Honaker, Tim Burgess and Benny Holderfield. Mrs. Daugherty was a native of Calhoun County and was a member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known as an excellent cook and gardener. She loved her family, church and flowers.
