The funeral service for Mr. Joseph Terrell "J.T." West Jr., 78, of Anniston, will be at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Elbert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. West passed away on March 18, 2014 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Mr. West served his country in the United States Army. He was a self employed carpenter and painter in Calhoun County for many years. He was a member of Oxford Church of Christ. He was a devoted father, brother and friend. Mr. West is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine West and a brother, Howard West. Mr. West is survived by his son, Michael West, of Oxford; three sisters, Geraldine Bryant and her husband, R.C., of Anniston, Josephine Horton, of Anniston and Betty Davidson, of Oxford; a special nephew, Michael Mosley, of Boaz; and a special niece, Maddie Mosley, of Boaz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
