Funeral service for Edward Lee Bryant, 77, will be 3 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Franklin McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Bryant died Friday morning June 20, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Bryant was retired from Super Valu, working as a truck driver for 46 years. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1961. He worked hard all his life and enjoyed every moment spent with his family and friends. Survivors include his children, Edward Michael Bryant, of Anniston and Kimberly Renae Cooper and her husband, Douglas, of Alexandria; grandchildren, Blair Michelle (Missy) Werner, Meaghan Elizabeth Wells, Amanda Grace Wells and Zachery Andrew Cooper; great- grandchildren, Samuel Werner, Lillian Werner, Gage Birchfield and Riley Birchfield; sisters, Inez Adams, of Roanoke and Martha Hyde and her husband, Jack, of Munford; brothers, George W. Bryant Jr., of Anniston and James Bryant and his wife, Linda, of Wedowee and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bryant is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Dee Ann Roberts Bryant; parents, George W. Bryant Sr. and Grace O. (Suggs) Bryant; sisters, Mary Brooks, Hellen Lahnert, Melba Blankenship and brother, Jack Bryant. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Online condolences made at www.graybrown service.com
