Ralph I. Faulk, 87, of Oxford passed away at his home on June 24, 2014. Mr. Faulk is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Moore Faulk; children, Nina Fain (Buddy), Keith Faulk (Syndi) and Kim Heard (Bud); eight grandchildren, Keita Harris (Scott), Dacia Strickland (Jonathan), Jennifer Crow (Jerry), Corrie Heard, Matthew Fain (Ashley), Britni Faulk, Blake Heard (Meghan), Mandi Faulk; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and beloved neighbors, Bill and Alma Kirby and Rudolph and Pat Braden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Georgia Faulk; two brothers and a sister. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Coldwater Baptist Church in Oxford with the service to follow at 11 a.m. to be officiated by Ralph's beloved pastors, Brother Clint Vaughn, Brother Pete Frames, and Brother Dan Bentley. Pallbearers will be son in-laws, Buddy Fain, Bud Heard; grandsons, Blake Heard, Matthew Fain, Jerry Crow; great-grandson, Jarrett Crow. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class and Deacons of Coldwater Baptist Church. Mr. Faulk was a native of Calhoun County where he was active member of Coldwater Baptist Church. After serving two tours in the military, he worked at Anniston Army Depot until his retirement in 1982. He will be most remembered for his love of conversation and humor, his quick laughter, and the annual beautiful garden where he spent so much of his time. He took great pride in supplying his family and others with fruits and vegetables through the years. He loved to play golf and treasured the trophies he'd won in area senior championships.
