Funeral service for Laura Lee Reaves, 85, of Anniston, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Franklin McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Reaves passed away on Sunday at her residence. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Bryant (Donald), Wanda Nowland (Brad) and Tami Cain (Daryl); four grandchildren, Marc Shirey, Tommy Nowland, Diane Young and Jennifer Reaves; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lillie Morris, Mary Lou Perkins, Jean Donahue and Edith Trammell; one brother, Charles Chandler. Mrs. Reaves is preceded in death by her husband Lamar O'Neal "Son" Reaves, Grandson, Marty Shirey, sisters, Gladys Owens and Sarah Mobley. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Reaves was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Reaves was a loving caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was a loving friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
