Carmen Brooks, 30, of Ranburne, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010. Mrs. Brooks was born on April 22, 1980 in Duluth, Georgia to Doug and Celetta Brooks. She was a member of Harvest Church of God in Anniston, Alabama. Carmen was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Helen Ruth Brooks and Ruth Todd McLemore. She is survived by her parents, Doug and Celetta Brooks; her grandfathers, Frank Brooks, of Ranburne, and Billy McLemore and his wife, Elizabeth, of Vidalia, Ga.; her aunts and uncles, Jane and Mike McClain, of Norcross, Ga., Jonette McLemore, of Nashville, Tenn., and Billie Jean and Jack Sanders of Savannah, Ga.; and several great-aunts and uncles, and a cousin. Funeral services for Carmen Brooks will be held at 1 p.m. today, October 20, 2010, at Harvest Church of God (520 Golden Springs Rd., Anniston, AL 36207). The Rev. Don Maddox, the Rev. Jerry Irwin, and the Rev. W.H. Ford will officiate. Music will be provided by Matt Stone. Interment will follow at Crumley's Chapel Church of God in Heflin, with the Rev. Raymond Williams conducting the graveside services. The family will receive friends at Harvest Church of God today, October 20, 2010, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be David Despagnia, Ken Brooks, Jack Smith, Aaron Taylor, James Chamblee, Randy Anglin, Donald Anglin, and Tim Coppack.
