Funeral services for Mrs. Frances C. Reeves, 74, of Lineville, will be Monday, January 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Barfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Embry and the Rev. John Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on this evening from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and until 1:00 p.m. on Monday. She will lie in state at the church for one hour. Mrs. Reeves passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Clay County Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, she had been a clerical worker at the Lineville Clinic for almost 30 years then worked an additional five years at Family Eye Care. Mrs. Reeves was a member of Barfield Baptist Church where she was very active in the choir and the youth program. Frances was a very giving person and loved to help people anyway she could. Mrs. Reeves is survived by her husband, Elton Reeves, of Lineville; three sons, Roger Gaither, of Charleston, S.C., Bobby Crenshaw (Kathy), of Lineville and Mike Crenshaw, of Lineville; three grandchildren, Tonya Knight, Brooke Davis and Matt Crenshaw; two great-grandchildren, Macy Bell and Avery Claire Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Clark and Bessie Rogers Clark; one son, Anthony Clark Gaither; three brothers, Breman, Willard and Almon Clark. Pallbearers will be Sonny Clark, Kenneth Denson, Danny Graben, Jimmy Jordan, David Mattox, Ed Smith, Lloyd Sparks, and John Williamson. Members of Mrs. Reeves' Sunday School class, the Joyful Learners, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted, however, memorial contributions may also be made to Barfield Baptist Church. On-line condolences may be sent at www.benefieldfuneralhome.com.
